Do you ever worry about your healthcare?  Do you worry about insurance?  Have you ever gone without medical attention when you might have needed it?  This is for everyone, in every country(not just USA).  Please tell where you are from also.

Absolutely I stress about healthcare! I am in the USA which is totally fucked for healthcare. My full time job doesn’t offer it so I pay privately for myself and my ex husband’s (babies dad) job doesn’t offer it either so he also pays privately for himself and our kids. Costs a ton and isn’t great. My boyfriend owns his own manual labor business and has NO insurance so if he were to get hurt or injured he would be totally fucked. It’s all fucked. I

I grew up on Medicaid. Once my mom got remarried to my step dad, it stopped but he never put me on insurance. I got a great job with good insurance after I turned 19 then lost my job due to Covid so I no longer have health insurance. I just got another great job with insurance BUT I have to go 60days of no insurance to be able to get the insurance. And I just started working last Thursday.

Nope. Don’t worry about my healthcare. I am a self pay patient. The amount we spend every year on healthcare costs is thousands less than it would be  if we paid just paid the monthly premiums alone. And thankfully, in our state, we can claim up to $1000 medical expenses on our state taxes, at least that was the tax law in 2019. Also I’d like to add, children can get immunizations and vaccines for free at our local health department. We also use herbal/plant medicines for minor conditions such as cold and flush and other infections. Have been uninsured for many many years, minus pregnancy Medicaid, and we pay monthly premiums for our kids Medicaid called kidscare. Even with health insurance there are so many additional costs that you pay out of pocket. Something I would be willing to pay monthly premiums for would be “accident insurance”. Insurance coverage you use only during emergencies. Usually only covers hospital visits for real life saving emergency services. Similar to car insurance.

Growing up, whether we had health insurance or not (as there were stints when we didn’t), my parents always made sure we went to the doctor because health is so important.
As an adult, I’ve continued this practice. Most places will work with you if you don’t have insurance. And most hospitals have scholarships you can apply for to help with extravagant bills.

I didn’t worry about healthcare when I was child because my parents always had health insurance with low copays from their jobs which was a huge blessing.
Now that I’m an adult and married, my husband and I do have health insurance (from my job) but it’s not the best coverage. It’s a HDHP plan where you pretty much pay out of pocket until you reach the deductible. So sometimes doctors visits are hundreds of dollars.
I’m also pregnant so I know we’ll end up reaching or deductible for the year but it is worrying sometimes because we do t know how we’re going to pay for our visits.

Yes, yes, and yes. Growing up I had Medicaid but once I turned 18 that stopped. Some jobs I had after that didn’t offer insurance and the ones that did were no help because you have to pay some ridiculous amount before they’ll even start to cover anything. I’ve been sick so many times and haven’t went to the doctor like I should of because of it. Matter of fact I need a doctor now and can’t because my insurance won’t cover it. 🙄

I live in the US. I have never worried about health insurance. My parents have always had jobs with employer sponsored health insurance. When I was self employed, I purchased my own health insurance and I was not eligible for a tax credit. Since then, I have held a job with employer sponsored health insurance. I've never used medical assistance or anything like that. My husband also has a job with employer sponsored health insurance but we use my health insurance because it is much better.
