When does the weather start to cool down in southern Cali? (I don’t know whether to buy my kids sweats & jackets for October)

I’m just trying to stock up by October cause I would think it would be cold in October, I’m in Southern California, I just don’t know with this weather anymore lol.
But I can’t remember from last year if it got cold around October. I’m stuck, I want to buy them some warm clothing but I dont know if it will still be hot in October 
What do you guys think?

Usually by Halloween it cools down...but at night usually. Day is still warm

November if we are lucky, usually doesn’t get really cold till December.

I'm on the Central Coast and its been so hot. It never seems to cool down here. We get by with Hoodies. We don't even own winter coats lol. I would say it cools down in November but still warm during the day!

It’ll get a little chilly, mostly in the morning and at night but it usually doesn’t get cold cold.
