Did weighted sleep vest work for your baby to stay asleep for long?
My son never has trouble falling asleep but his issue is to stay asleep for long, it also depends on the where he is sleeping. On his bassinet (connected to my side of the bed), he sleeps half an hour to an hour max. When my husband gets up for work, I place baby on his side on the bed and he sleeps for about an hour to two hours long ( husband works from home and take baby monitor when I fall asleep). On my chest he sleeps four to five hours or longer if I don’t wake him up. I only let him sleep on my chest after three to four attempts of constantly putting him back on his bassinet after soothing him. I really need to wean him off sleeping on my chest. He has been sleeping on my chest everyday for the past three weeks and many nights I don’t even remember placing him on my chest because I was so worn out from not getting enough sleep. (Can’t trust husband to stay awake for long or to wake up instantly when the baby cries because he miraculously became immune to the loud screaming cries of the baby. I just stare at him peacefully sleeping beside the crying baby, I’m so thankful for my motherly hormones to transition me from a deep sleeper to an extremely light sleeper. ) He started hating swaddle, we put a loose blanket over his legs. I have been wrapping him with my clothes on the bassinet which isn’t working for long. We got some sleep sacs which are loose swaddle like clothes but he doesn’t seem to like it either.
If weighted sleep vests didn’t work for you, what other product or trick did you use?
