How are you having a baby shower?

Is my second but first with my new partner. We’re having a “Sip and See” around New Years because he’s due mid December. Not really for gifts like a baby shower but we have lots of hammy downs so just a celebration for our babe! Obviously it will be close family only and COVID regulations will be strictly followed!

We aren’t having one :( I wish we were, but with the pandemic we have too many concerns with my boyfriend’s family.

This is my second girl so I’m all for not having one, but I think my mom is trying to be sneaky about it. But I don’t trust my husbands family, they still go out and aren’t very safe. None of us are risking them being near me. It would’ve been nice to have a “yay it’s a baby” gathering without gifts but realistically won’t happen. 😩

I am renting a place for in person but it's limited capacity so the day before the shower we will also have a drive by for the people who could not be there or not enough space at the in person baby shower.

Drive by babyshower for most people/ for immediate family a small backyard babyshower. 
I’ve hand 2 prior miscarriages in the past 5 years and my husband is a cancer survivor. So this to everyone is a miracle baby. As all his doctors told us we couldn’t conceive naturally. So my family definitely want to have something more then just a drive by.

Mine is in person but it's just a sprinkle so I'll only have about 15 people total invited. 
My sister and niece are both pregnant as well with their first and having a normal in person shower. 
I think if you decide to do this, it should be noted in the invites how many people are coming and that you understand if they decide not to come due to it. That's what my husband's cousin did on her wedding invites and I thought that was a great idea!

Open house style outside under a tent. More personal than drive by. But still trying to keep it somewhat social distant
