Do you really think one gender child is easier than the other?

Question

I am a first time mom and we just found out we are having a boy!! 💙 we are so excited. Mostly just happy the baby is healthy and growing. I noticed a LOT of people telling me that “boys are so much easier than girls” 
Why do people say this?? 
While i know raising a son VS a daughter would each come with challenges that are unique i don’t see one out-weighing the other. 
Do you think this is an old-school/sexist way of thinking or is there truth to this that i will find as a parent?

My boys have more energy but my girls are more dramatic and emotional..some days I prefer my girls dramatics over my boys energy 🤣 some days I prefer my boys energy over my girls dramatics 🤣..so it depends on how I'm feeling when I wake up🥴🤣🤣

I don't think you can bundle it up into a box like that. Both genders have challenges and strengths. Also, everyone is an individual and different.

I personally say my son is easier than my daughter.
My son is fairly easy going, helps out, listens to what he’s told.
My daughter on the other hand is fullll of drama, attitude and general princess mentality.  😂
She’s a mini me so yah it’s rough 😂😂

I have 2 girls and they are just more sassy, and dramatic lol 
My boyfriend has a boy he has his times where he has bursts of energy and runs a around he likes to be rough and i have to be more stern with him cuz he think he the boss . He thinks hes his daddy lol

My daughter has a lot more energy, attitude and sass then my boy does. He is so calm and sweet while she is my wild child. I’m low key hoping for another boy just because I couldn’t imagine having two sassholes 😂 BUT, both genders are equally fun and both can be so very sweet ❤️

I know my mom says raising my older brothers was easier than raising me, but I was a real b*tch when I was around 13-14, especially to my mom. I was so bad my mom thought about handing me over to the state. 
My daughter is only 2, so she’s been pretty easy to raise so far. We will see if that changes when her baby brother is born next month lol.

I think they're both pretty equal. my boys have crazy energy & are crazy dramatic. my daughter is the same way. I have 4 boys & 1 girl. (pregnant with 2nd girl, curious to see how she'll be!)

I’ve heard girls are easy until they’re teenagers. And boys are hard until they’re teenagers. 😂 but every child is different no matter the gender!
My sister had an easy baby boy for her first and her second baby boy was harder.
