First period after pregnancy and EBF

Ugh! I’ve gotten my first period after pregnancy. Little guy is 12 weeks old today and I just started my period today. Crazy how the timing on that went! LOL When did you mommas that are EBF get your first period after baby? I thought I had more time before it came back? I’ve read that means my body is ready for fertility again, even though I definitely am not! Hahaha. I seriously forgot what it was like to have a period! Cramps, backaches, headaches and period munchies have got me right now.

I’ve also read that once you get your first period after birth and are EBF it’s easier to loose the baby weight? I haven’t lost more than ten pounds after my son was born so I’m hoping this helps speed up the weight loss process.
