Yeast Infection ?

okay , so i've never had a yeast infection before so i'm kind of worried . at first it was like a itching feeling and the discharge was as everyone described it & there wasn't a smell so i was pretty certain it was a yeast infection .. but how long do they last ? 
yesterday i got monistat 1 and like i said the discharge didn't have any odor , but when i inserted the ovule i smelt a slight smell .. so since there's a smell could that not be a yeast now ..? i honestly think the person i last had sexual intercourse with threw my ph balance off AGAIN but there wasn't a smell when it first began .. and there's reasonings why i can't go to the dr at this moment so i'm really just trying to figure out myself .. but i took the monistat last night and i feel better already i don't smell it right now either . but my question is could your PH balance be thrown off while having a yeast infection ? or should i be worried its something else ?

You shouldn't treat a yeast infection at home if you've never had one before. But, if you really can't go to any doctor or walk in clinic you should take Monistat 7 day. Sometimes the yeast infection doesn't clear up with the 1 and 3 day. Yes sex can throw off your balance and cause a smell or a yeast infection

Don’t try to self diagnose if you’ve never had one before, you could have a yeast infection or BV, they’re pretty similar but need different treatments so going to the doctor is your best option. I’m not sure why you can’t but planned parenthood is cheaper and they’ll give you what you need. Also, you don’t want to keep trying to treat it, if it’s not going away, just go to the doctor, you could end up making it worse. And with things like this, you don’t want to wait forever until you go.

If there's a smell or a foul odor smelling like fish then it could be bacterial vaginosis and not a yeast infection

Using it one time is not going to make it go away overnight typically you have to use those things for about 7 days and if it doesn't change you should still see the doctor or I've heard that putting vinegar in your bath water will help fix your pH balance
