Been messaging a guy for all of 2 days and he asks how long I’ve been single. I said 3 years and his question immediately after was, when was the last time I had sex. It threw me completely off and I asked why did he need to know that. He says he just asked because since I was single for 3 years it lets him know if I’ve been entertaining anyone....... I haven’t responded yet but this gave me bad vibes. My bestfriend says it was a genuine question and he probably meant no harm. was this an appropriate question for him to ask? I mean really? This guy doesn’t even know my last name but wants to know my sex life 😂

I don’t think that’s really his business. It should have just been “is there anyone else in the picture” etc. Idk I would have been put off by that but now you know his intentions.

I would be turned off. I had sex a few days before I even met my husband and if he asked me that, I would have been thrown off for sure. I never asked him either. I understand asking when your last relationship was but the only thing sexually they need to know is if you have any STIs and even that’s a conversation for an appropriate time.

Personally I see a red flag. The reason why is because who you are entertaining in the past three years is none of his goddamn business. I would just say I’m not comfortable answering that question. Or if you want to give him some sort of answer, you can say I’m not really comfortable answering that, but I have had sex in the past three years. ￼Then you can see what his reaction is based on that and make a more informed decision about whether or not you should continue to see him. But Honestly, if you’re getting bad vibes from it, I would just stop seeing him now. Seriously. Red flag number one. Intuition raised. Bad vibes felt. It’s OK to trust your intuition.
