Do you believe in "the one"

Question

So I was alway taught that God has some one special for me and there no one else and so I guess I always believed in the one. So last year I dated my best friend and we where best friend sense high school. We where a lot a like always got along and to be honest I thought that we where soul mates and he kinda thought the same thing. Well we where both virgens and well I gave him a bj. 2 weeks later he broke up with me and started sleeping around.
So a few months later I met my husband (then boyfriend) I'm glade that my ex broke up with me and that I am with an amazing man. 
But I don't believe in the one. I think that there are a lot of other people out there that if I didn't meant my husband I could been happy with someone else.

I'm just curious what people think. And why people believe or don't believe in soul mates

I think there are a lot of good options, and you choose the one you're going to love for their whole life.

I think people are just more suited to others. Me and my partner are COMPLETE opposites but it works. But I also think if I met him 10 years ago I wouldn't have been interested in slightest because we were both different people to what we are now.

I believed in the 'one' once. My high school sweetheart you could say we were together 7 years then one day he just left me. No reason I got all the bills/debt, completely alone since he separated me from my family  & he got our puppy, a new girlfriend, & took everything I paid for/ just paid off last year. We have been separated 4 years now! I have to say if it wasn't for what he put me through I would have never know my own self-worth. I learned how to love myself & now have an AMAZING man who treats me the way I should be, and I return the favor.

I believed in soul mates now I'm not to sure, When I met my husband it was instant love we fell hard and married to quick, suffered a lot of traumas and his ego got the better of him and he left for another woman. I'm a more spiritualist I don't believe in God or the bible but my grandfather was a proud minister so I grew up with morals from the church.
Even psychics told me we were meant to be but kept warning him he needed to be careful.
For a year after his affair and assault on me I was in denial I believed he was my soul mate and we could fix it but I now realise we are given lessons and we have to learn from them before we can truly find our soul mates. Our lessons may be with our soul mates but we don't know until we reach that milestone.
I stopped loving my ex when I nearly died.
I am now with a man who first crossed my path when I was 4 and he was 7 he lived two doors down from my mums best friend and his best friend was her little boy. His parents remembered me when we met again 23 years later.
And after many chats we realised we were at the same place at the same time at least a dozen times up and down the uk, our fav things, places etc were the same.
My ex husband was once my world I don't regret any of it, the quote love is blind is very true and I wouldn't change any of it because I learnt many valuable life lessons from him.
As for my partner now. 
Are we soul mates? Who knows. But I found my best friend in the most unlikely of places who was right under my nose the whole time and I can't see myself without him now.

I believe there is one man for me and a bunch of other people that are my close friends/family that provide certain things my one man can't. 
It's way too much pressure for one person to try to meet all your needs, and in my opinion it's an unrealistic expectation of a person also.

Sad to say but, I did believe in 'the one'. Till now. My relationship of 3 1/2 years went from being amazing to being the worse, saddest, and beginning of aggressiveness towards one an other. Who knew you could love someone so much for so long and then with one person's lies your relationship falls apart in the blink of an eye and things go so so bad.

I met my husband @ a stop sign about running into him coming home from Wendy's for shakes with my besties after deciding I was better off with my ex and was going to see what God had planned and BAM! I was waving at my friend in truck that's when I about hit him. Of course embarrassing so I kept driving but the day after I got a message from my friend telling me the guy he was with wanted to tell my he I was a bad driver n where I got driving lessons. 3 days later we went on a date well the next year we were married and have been together since 2010. God works is funny ways
