Why so emotional

Today my mom asked what I want to do for my 18th birthday. All I really want to do is hangout with my boyfriend and my best friend, but they won’t let me invite my boyfriend since they don’t approve. We’ve been together for almost a year and a half. We’ve been long distance, but he’s moving back !! So yay lol ! But I’m just so emotional. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s a big birthday and it’s hitting me that I’m going to be an adult and moving out on my own soon, or if it’s because they don’t like my boyfriend. Or if it’s both. It’s just been very rough lately and I’ve been so emotional.
