What’s the dumbest thing you got in trouble for?

When i was in highschool I tried to go all healthy and I put myself on a healthfood diet and I didn’t know it would “detox” me, which included diarrhea. I was 17, so I knew how to get in the medicine cabinet and find OTC anti-diarrhea meds

Well, I needed to take anti-diarrhea meds to school with me or else I mean, I probably would have crapped my pants at school. But I didn’t want the pills to be rattling in my bag all day so I put them in a soft jewelry bag. I ended up forgetting about them because the diarrhea stopped. Well, my mom found this baggy of pills in my backpack after school one day and the next day when I got home from school, she was sitting on the couch when I walked in, waiting on me and I could just feel that I was in trouble.

She goes oooofffff on me and is telling me I’m going to be punished to the fullest extent and to get ready to say goodbye to my social life and I was like “MOM. PLEASE LISTEN. THOSE ARE ANTI-DIARRHEA MEDS FROM WHEN I WENT ON A HEALTH FOOD DIET.”

She thought I was lying and she dragged my butt to the pharmacy and made the pharmacist identify the meds. As I said, they were anti-diarrhea meds and I explained that they were in a baggy because I didn’t want to hear pills rattling all day.

She apologized to me like 10 times because she came at me so hard without even questioning what the pills were. She just assumed the worst out of me and that wasn’t fair for her to blow up like that without figuring out for sure first. To this day she said she learned how to be a better parent from that. She said she was embarrassed. I was just trying to not poop my pants and ended up getting in trouble.
