Is this normal??

8w1d, been having brown discharge/blood for a few weeks. Not constantly, just when I wipe. 
It smells exactly like how my periods smelled(sorry for tmi) 
I brought this up in my last appointment, 2 weeks ago, she checked and said she didn’t see any active bleeding but saw what I was talking about and said to just keep track to see if it gets worse. It’s not a lot, not like a flowing period just when I wipe deep. Please tell me this is normal. I’ve had two babies before but never had this symptom. My hcg 2 weeks ago was also good 52000+.

Any type of bleeding isn’t normal during pregnancy. It’s common but not normal unless you have something like a subchorionic hemorrhage or something of that sort. You should always tell your doctor so they can check you. Only they can evaluate you. 
I hate when women tell other women on this app spotting brown is normal because for me that was a miscarriage at 12 weeks. Then with my next pregnancy I had bright red bleeding . I thought for sure it was a miscarriage but it wasn’t . Just a subchorionic hemorrhage and baby was fine. So like I said, only your doctor can evaluate you. I don’t want to scare you or give you false hope. Please let your doctor know
