Bleeding on the pill

I am taking Tri Lo Sprintec and recently skipped my placebo pills for the first time and started my new pack right after. Well into my first week of my new pack I have experienced what looks to be clotting and bleeding with some cramping but it is dark brown and sometimes a little bit pink. Any ideas why? Last time I had sex it was protected and I have never let my partner cum inside me.
