When would be the best time to ask where things are going?

I started talking to this guy around late September. We went on a date after a week of talking and have hung out almost everyday for the next two weeks after until he started a second job and since that happened we’ve hung out every weekend. We also text everyday. I’ve noticed that the last couple times we’ve had sex, he will usually look me in my eyes instead of just looking at my face like past guys have. (Not sure if that means anything). It hasn’t been long but things have still gone really well.
