Tummy tuck /Panni

Okay so I have diastisis recti , 2 finger gap but damn I look 12 months pregnant 😂 my belly is so round . So I was recommended to follow 2 groups on fb , Katrina diastisis group and the tummy tucks group . I’ve been paying close attention to the tummy tuck group and learning different stuff like how your insurance can cover some stuff if it’s medical . Well someone told me if your stomach hang over your panty line about 5 inches or more than insurance will cover a panni. I was wondering if anyone ever experienced going through this . How did you bring it up to your doctor ? Did you contact plastic surgeon doctor or bring this up to a regular doctor first and got referred to a plastic surgeon
