3.5 yr old on bottle

Don’t bash me. I have no help. My LO goes to school and does fine without a bottle but it’s at night that he only needs one. He has never liked a sippy cup but would drink out of one but he would not fall asleep with one.

I tried taking the bottle away, throwing it out, cutting it, letting the dog chew it and he will freak out. He’s a strong 3 year old and I given up trying to wein him off when he would scream for hours without falling asleep. I tried melatonin, car rides to put him to sleep without a bottle but he would wake up for one. He doesn’t necessarily wake up in the middle of the night for a bottle but he will if he didn’t have one to fall asleep.

Can someone suggest a cup that works or a method??
