Home reno safety

We just found a massive roof leak in our house and will need to have a lot of reno done to fix it. We’re going to need a lot of ceiling/dry wall work done around my bedroom and family room. It will be done professionally but could take weeks-months😫

Has anyone been through this before? Will I need to stay somewhere else the whole time for safety due to the dust? I hate the thought of uprooting myself at 26 weeks but need to know what to plan for!
