Advice on sore breasts

My LO is almost 4 weeks. We’ve been doing well with ebf, I think. On my right side, he occasionally has a bad latch and I take him off and retry. In the last week, he will latch and do well for a minute then unlatch himself and freak out like he can’t find the nipple right in front of him and then we can relatch and he’ll do well again for a period of time. No pain when’s he’s latched well.

I started having a burning sensation at my nipples earlier this week that has since gone away. No hard lumps, or pinpoint pain, not unilateral. Overall both breasts are warm to the touch and sore all over. They do feel full but he’s nursing both sides and feels like he drains them well. Nothing like when my milk came in. No fevers or chills. LO doesn’t have white spots or symptoms of thrush. Do you think it’s just engorgement? They do feel better with cold compresses. I don’t feel like it’s mastitis but I’ve never had it, so I don’t know.
