dream connections?

Question

has anyone else experienced this..
whenever i tell someone i had a dream of them they say the had one of me or vice versa. its not the same dream, just we were both present.
i think its kind of cool and interesting. has anyone else ever experienced this?
i know they say you dream of someone when they’re thinking of you. 
i just think our brains are so interesting and that the universe does connect us in a way. what do you think?

Since Oct. I've had 2 dreams about my Grandmother. Once my PTSD settled down and I was allowed to dream again. PTSD brain takes over and stops all my dreams when things happen that my brain thinks I can't handle. It took about a week for my dreams to come back. But I find it hard to believe she's thinking about me. She passed away Oct. 2nd. My first dream was the exact night my dreams came back after her passing. And the second one was just last night. Outside of that, it's not often that I dream about people I know in real life. Usually just filler faces. 
I've only had one dream about my daughter. Very rare to have a dream about my husband. Maybe once or twice for my siblings. Never my parents. Never my absolute best friends in the whole world. Legit. They've never been in my dreams. What do I usually dream about? Robots, aliens, zombies, vampire and werewolves, talking animals, giants in a forest in my basement (I dont have and have never had a basement) wars on other planets.
