Wearing a mask during labor?

Hi everyone! I live in LA, and have Kaiser permanente as my insurance. If anyone else has this same insurance and has given birth recently (or is due soon like me).. do you have to wear your mask the ENTIRE time you’re in the delivery room? Can you take it off while you’re pushing?

i am in irvine and will be giving birth in irvine kaiser, both my husband and i do not have to wear a mask as long as we are inside our labor room. i do not have to wear a mask when i am giving birth. but everyone else will have to. like the OB and support staff.

I asked my Bay Area Kaiser doctor about this yesterday. She said things are changing seemingly daily, but as for now, no masks. No rapid covid tests either since there is a shortage with the swelling of cases in CA.
