Last-names: Keep it traditional?

My bf is kinda traditional with last names and wants only his last name for our baby. I was alright with it in the beginning as we were going to use my last name as the middle name but I am having second thoughts.

That’s because he told me that he doesn’t see a future in us and so that made me rethink why should she only have his last name if I will never have that last name as well later on.

I know if I bring it up to him he will get angry about it but if I was to keep it to myself and just fill out the paper work with both our last names and say it was the hospital mistake I would be lying.
