I guess its depended on how close he was with his parents. I spent 2 years with a guy and only met his mom a handful of times because she was such a shitty and toxic person. I met my husbands mom at a basketball game maybe 2-3 weeks before we started dating (but we had already started sleeping together and doing overnights)

My partner ment my parents at 6 months and I met his at 12 months.but I did have thing that I would never bring a guy home to meet my parents unless I knew he was the one. Started that when I was 16 because my siblings always brought their ex partners to my parents an these people didn't last very long so I didn't want to ever have the situation like they always had.

I already knew his parents since ours worked under the same farm owner, but to meet them properly as a girlfriend and his family was bonfire night. Properly about 2 weeks. We did keep ourselves secretive but my step dad thought he was clever for blabbing my business around the farm 😂
