Pregnant & husband is still apprehensive

This may be unreasonable now that I’m actually typing it out but I’m really bummed and hoping for the best.

I got my first positive test on Wednesday (we have one beautiful baby boy already and we’re so excited to add to our family!) and since my husband is out of town for work I didn’t get a chance to tell him until Thursday. I was planning to wait just a little longer to come up with something cute but I just couldn’t wait!

So I showed him the test over FaceTime and he asked if I took any more.. I told him it’s the only one I’ve taken and planned to take another the next day since that’s when my period was supposed to come, and that I wanted to tell family on Sunday just to make sure my period never came. He asked twice throughout the excited conversation if I’m going to take more tests..

So that day I took a test in the afternoon and the line was darker, so I sent him a picture and said “see??” Well the next morning I was so excited to take another test, I did and the line was as light as the first positive.. he reassured me that hormones go up and down and he’s sure it’s fine.. but it encouraged his doubts.

Well even now as I’m dreaming about all the changes and exciting things, he keeps saying, “it’s still early....” and I KNOW but I can’t have that negative attitude.. I want this to stick and have to stay stress free.. I have symptoms already and know this is real.

I’m already home alone without him and taking care of our baby boy alone and our two pets and I’m a nanny so I have another toddler I’m caring for and it’s a lot.. so dreaming about this next baby is something that’s exciting and keeps my mind in a happy place and it’s just a bummer whenever I finally get a chance to talk to him about it he’s being so hesitant.

We have a beautiful marriage and he’s not being unreasonable, I guess I’m just here to vent my tired little head off.
