Natural miscarriage?

Question

I’m supposed to be 10 weeks but today it was confirmed there’s no heartbeat. I have three options, natural, medical or vacuum. There’s a surgical procedure too but that’s not available due to covid. 
I’m leaning towards natural because I really don’t want to be on my own in hospital. I’ve already had one natural miscarriage at 9 weeks before but that just came on. I didn’t go to hospital because covid. Can anyone share their experiences with miscarriages? Natural or medical. Thank you. 💕

I had a missed miscarriage in September. I decided to miscarry naturally but after a week I was going absolutely crazy. My anxiety was through the roof and I just wanted it to be over. My doctor booked me in for a D&C. It wasn’t pleasant at all. I hate the feeling of coming out of general anaesthetic soooo much. But I was glad it was over. 
Then one week later I was at home and started haemorrhaging. I had to call an ambulance and get rushed to hospital. They did some tests and discovered that the D&C failed to extract the baby. They said it might’ve just been uterine lining that they got. 🙄
They then gave me the option of having another D&C or taking the medication to induce the miscarriage. I chose medication because I didn’t want to go through the D&C again. 
It was truly awful. I cried a lot. It was painful. And passing the baby was quite traumatic. 
In saying that, I think if I had to do it again, I would just do the medication. As hard as it was, I feel like it was the lesser of all evils for me. 
But everyone is different. If you’re happy to be patient and let the miscarriage happen naturally, that might be a good option, but it can take a while.

I had a natural one a few years ago. It was traumatizing for me because it didn’t start for 2 weeks after I was told I would miscarry (at 8 weeks measured 6). It started at work and come on so heavy I bled through my pants and dripped on the floor on my way to the bathroom. I threw up from the pain but it was only painful for the first couple of hours. The psychological toll of waiting for it to happen was the worst because you can’t help but think maybe the doctors were wrong. If I had to go through it again though I’d probably make the same choice.

I used medication to induce my miscarriage. It had been 5 weeks since the baby’s heart stopped and I didn’t want to keep waiting. It was painful, but I knew I didn’t want a D&C. The medication took a few hours to kick in, painful contractions started, and lasted for a few hours. I bled for about 3 weeks after but it wasn’t painful after the initial night.

I tried to wait for natural and it never started for weeks. I was teaching elementary and scared things would start at work but nope never any bleeding or cramping. 
I tried medication and had a night of heavy bleeding and cramping and lots of tissue just falling out of me. Two weeks later ultrasound confirmed the sac still remained.
Finally opted for d&c and wish I’d don’t it to start with. It was fast and painless and minimal bleeding after. Easy recovery and my dr was sure to get everything. Four weeks later got my period again and conceived third cycle after.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have had a natural, medical (given methotrexate) and d&c miscarriage. 
My natural started in its own. Bleeding was 8 days and my period returned exactly 5 weeks later.
My medical was my ovarian pregnancy. I needed 2 rounds of it. But once I finally started to miscarry (about 10 day waiting for it to start) I again bled for 8 days but my period returned 1 week after bleeding stopped. My HCG was very low.
My nightmare super rare wouldn't believe it was real if it hadn't happened to me D&C was the absolute worst and if I had known what I would go through I would have preferred to be induced to deliver. Initial d&c aug 24th, 2017. ER for retained products mid September. 2 rounds of Cytotec. Confirmed retained products and repeat d&c Nov 3rd. Thought it was all out. Dec 28th went in for pain and was told I had a blood clot. Given pain killers and Cytotec. 10 mins later passed a golf ball sized mass of calcified retained products. 4 full months after my original d&c. It had just been floating around inside my body for 4 months. I would never want to experience that ever again nor would I want anyone else to.
The medicine is painful but so is natural. The medicine helped move everything quicker. I personally would pick medicine again.

I have had 2 natural and one medical management with a hospital stay, none where more pleasant then the other the only good thing about medical management was no waiting around for it to happen I could not bare the pregnancy symptoms any longer knowing my baby had passed x

I had a natural miscarriage at between 8-10 weeks. It was pretty painful. Like natural labor for 6 hours then it stopped. Made me so tired I slept for 14 hours afterwards.

I’m so so sorry for your loss. I’ve had two natural miscarriages at home and all I can say is the pain is awful. I wouldn’t want anyone to go through it. But I’ve also never had a miscarriage any other way.
