Stretch and sweep

My midwife has recommended a stretch and sweep at my next appointment (I’ll be 39+2 weeks at that time) I’m just interested to know how soon after you had the procedure did you go into labour? Or did it not do anything at all? Please give me as much info as you can did it hurt? Would you recommend getting it done? Thanks! 😊
