When to say I love you??

Such an odd question to ask I feel like but, my boyfriend and I have been together almost 3 months now. This is my first serious, healthy relationship since 3 years ago and I don’t know that I could be happier with this man🥺🥰but occasionally I find myself wanting to say ‘I love you’ and when I do get these tendencies I hold back even though it feels natural to me. I’m just worried, is it too early to be saying this or is he feeling the same way?? I don’t know! It’s scary but I just really feel this strong connection with him and I want to do this right. I also want to know that I mean it. I say I love you to my close friends but this is in a serious relationship and I want to know that I truly mean it.
I know I’m probably overthinking but I just really want this to work and I don’t want to mess it up :-/
What do y’all think? When did you first say I love you to your s/o??

I don't remember when I first said it, but I also didn't think about it I just go with the flow and do or say what feels right. We already lived together after 3 months and got married after 8 months, so I said it probably a few maybe even days weeks into our relationship.

I met my boyfriend when I was 19 and  wanted to say I love you two weeks after knowing my boyfriend of 5 years! Haha. I think when you feel it and it's reciprocated, say it! I ended up waiting 5 months because I thought that was the "appropriate" amount of time...turns out he had wanted to say it since a month in! Life is short, tell people you love them!

I personally would let him say it first, im sure he will eventually! My boyfriend waited almost 6 months to tell me he loves me and I wanted to say it too but I think he would’ve been spooked if I had.
