Daycare Troubles
I have been working from home since last March when COVID hit; I have no idea when my work will or if they will decide to get back to normal work. My daughter has been able to be at home with me, my fiancé and his 3 kids since that time. Recently I decided to put her into daycare to get social interaction and it is also hard to get work done. I’ve throughly enjoyed watching her grow up and I really didn’t want to go the daycare route, but my job is demanding and I need to focus.
She has been in daycare for about 2-3 months now. I started off part time and have increased to full time. Every time I pick her up, she is sitting by herself, refusing to play with other and even hitting kids that come close to her. The daycare is great so they’re not the issue. I know with her being home for almost a full year that it takes time to get used to a change. But it kind of worries me that her social skills aren’t developing. Am I doing something wrong? Any other moms been in this situation and have advice?
Thank you! (Also she is 16 months old)
