What Topic Are You Passionate About?

Question

Speaking politically, can you name 1-3 topics/issues that you’re passionate about? 
Someone discusses it with you and you just absolutely will not budge, won’t see another side, something you are hell bent on? 
I’ll have to think of my own answer, honestly. And I’m going to bed so I won’t see the comments till morning!

1. Climate Change.  This worries the most just because of how much climate change effects the world already. I feel like this is an issue we need do more. Time is running out 
2. Abortion. I often think how the abortion I had when I was 16 saved my life. It was absolutely my lifeline. I worry about ever getting to point where women don’t have access to safe abortion. That being the main point, women will always get abortions legal or not. It’s safe or not safe. 
3. LGBTQ+ rights and equal rights I look forward to a world that doesn’t care about gender or sexuality. I want to live in a world where that is more fluid and not so fixed.

Education access and reforming the system. It’s such a damn mess.
Criminal justice reform. I’d like to see how we can focus on what the victim wants/needs, not just on what the law allows. Drugs need to be decriminalized. 
Medical system reform. I believe in universal healthcare, but I admit it’s not a cure-all. Systemic racism still exists even within universal healthcare systems. So, we have to center voices affected.

1) Environmental Justice/Climate Change - one of my biggest passions and concerns and something we should all be worried about
2) Human Rights - includes people being treated like people, helping those who need it (within reason), and bodily autonomy 
3) Education - an educated society is essential in making a “good” society. I’m also tired of stupid/dumb people
4) Healthcare - I haven’t put in enough thought/research to this to promote an effective way to provide it, but same as education, a healthy society is essential to make a “good” one. Also overlaps with #2.

I’m pro life and view it as a human right issue. I think it is abhorrent that people feel they have to make this ‘choice’ or not thrive in life if we are in fact living in a first world country. I simply won’t vote for anyone who wishes to expand and normalize what I view as a blatant disregard of human value based on actual science. It’s under this same construct that I would be against any healthcare system that someone can ‘age out’ of receiving proper care.
I believe in smaller federal government and power more towards local government. I don’t feel that governments tend to use peoples hard earned money better then they would use it if it was in their own pocket so I believe in lower income taxes and less regulation on business and employment growth.
I believe in thoughtful environmental protection and that we need to evolve into best practices. I feel this is mostly over politicized and most people in politics who say the environment is important to them don’t follow up.
I would like to see healthcare reform in making costs and process more transparent to the consumer and treated like the business it is. I believe competition makes for lower costs and better care.
I am for an improved and fair immigration system and path to citizenship. I do not believe open borders is appropriate for a sovereign nation.

That the media controls the world. I have watched them brainwash people and divide our country in the worst possible way. The hypocrisy is crazy! 
It reminds me of that movie Idiocracy. The things people believe are out of this world. 
And don't you dare try to speak against it. You put your job, friendships and in some cases, your life on the line.
