He bought me flowers but it was more out of obligation it seemed. He asked me as we passed the flower stand Saturday night while we were buying food. He only did it cuz I said I at least expected flowers for my first ever vday. He wasn’t gonna get them other wise.

Then he did plan a beach trip which was nice. Again no real planning went into tho. We went to lunch through McDonald’s drive through. Got back to his and my plan to make choc strawberries (ingredients I bought and ordered ahead so the melts wouldn’t be sold out for us..) he didn’t really wanna do. He said “let’s just go dinner and strawberries at the same time so we can kill two birds w one stone and get it out the way”. I understand we both had hmwk which is why I suggested doing hmwk first so we could get that out of the way.

I talked to him about that comment and he said he didn’t mean it like that. I just am so bummed out. He didn’t put any effort in really. The fact he was gonna do even less than that until I told him the other day it would be my first vday ever...

I got him so much and actually came up w an activity and planned it. Fuck, my mom put more effort into a vday gift for the both of us than he did for me!

I don’t care about gifts. Just effort. He just doesn’t fucking care.
