Where does your baby sleep at night?

Question

My almost 2 month-old baby co-sleeps with my husband and I. I was just wondering how many others co-sleep with their babies or if others actually manage to get their infants to sleep in bassinets and cribs. Please let me know!

We both knew from the beginning we didn’t want to make sleeping in our bed a habit so I just never did it! She did sleep in our room until 8 months(mainly because her room was upstairs and that worried me😂 but also because it was much easier while breastfeeding to not make several trips a night up there).

My kids slept in their own bed from day one it they slept better that way and longer also I didn't want to share my bed since I roll to much

My son slept in a crib now he sleeps in his own room and bed,  and my daughter slept in a bassenit now in a toddler bed.

We decided right away that we would never ever bedshare because it was too dangerous. When my daughter was a newborn she wanted to be held all the time. She cried the moment we put her down. This made bedtime a living hell, and I basically spent 2-3 hours every night trying over and over again to get her to stay asleep once she was in her crib. By most nights we were both asleep by 11:00. It was horrible, but eventually by about 3 months I was able to put her asleep drowsy but awake. She hasn’t had any sleep problems or sleep regressions in the 2.5 years since.

Mine coslept until about 5/6 months old. She wouldn't sleep any other way. That started happening less and less. Now she sleeps alone in her crib and hates cosleeping.

We have her in her doc a tot in our bed! So co-sleeping in the sense that we’re all in one space but the dockatot makes me feel safer :) and then like we did with my first it was so easy to transition to crib bc we put her dockatot in the crib so her sleep “environment” didn’t change. Then was able to eliminate the dockatot once she was comfortable in her crib in her room :)

My kids have always started out in a crib or bassinet in our bedroom. We moved them into their own rooms once they start sleeping thru the night which ranges from 6-9 months. I do not & will never co sleep. I got kids all over me all day long I don't need them all over me while I sleep as well. 🥴

We co sleep (baby sleeps in a bassinet beside me) but we don’t bedshare. When baby grows out of the bassinet we will move her to her crib.

We co slept full time until she was about 6 or 7 months. Thats what felt right for us. I did have a bassinest next to our bed but she wouldn't sleep in it. When she was starting to get into a sleep routine that was much earlier than I was going to bed it made sense to start her in her crib. She still ended up in our bed most nights to nurse until about 8 months when I stopped nursing. Never had any issues with the transition though 🤷🏼‍♀️ just do what feels right to you 💕
