Nuk Learner Sippy Cup okay for 1 year old?

Question

This is the only cup my son will drink milk out of! Is this one ok? I know it’s soft spout so will I have to transition him to hard spout eventually?
The flow is so slow on this though.. I notice he’s taking longer to finish it with this. While his other sippy cups practically spill as soon as you flip it upside down. 
Just not sure on what kind of sippy cup he is supposed to be using and if this one is acceptable.

My daughter started using these at her 1 year mark. Her pediatrician said that they were perfect at her 1 year check up, and again at her 15 month appointment. They have different levels of flow as well. You can introduce other cups they dont have to be hard. My daughter likes cups with straws and the 360/infinity cups.

Use whatever cups your kid likes. 
My son still loves his dr. Browns weight straw cups and this are “for” 6-12months and hems nearly 3. 
Hard spouts are actually bad for oral development. I highly recommend going to a straw cup or open cup next. My son’s feeding therapist even wrote us a note for our daycare to not use the hard spout sippies for our son. They got him some small take and toss straw cups.

I think that’s fine at his age. I wouldn’t ever use a hard spout. When he’s ready I would switch to a weighted straw cup, 360 cup, or an open cup.

That’s the only cup my son would (will) take. He has been off the bottle since 13-14 months and using this since. He’s almost 20 months now. I love this cup!
