I did because I got tired of the "when are the babies coming" questions. However, I told them I didn't want to discuss my treatment with anyone and if I did, I would initiate the conversation. They've been supportive and respectful of that. 
On the other hand, I've kept it from people that I know can't respect those boundaries. Go with your gut.

I did, but made very clear that they should not be asking any questions and that I would tell them of any outcome myself.

We did and I’m so glad because I needed the support and talking about it helped me. We weren’t going to tell them when the transfer occurred because we wanted some element of surprise, but we did in the end and I don’t regret it at all. But every one is different and you need to do what’s right for you. It can be a really stressful and isolating path so I recommend telling someone who can be there to support you on your journey xx

We told our parents. My parents are respectful of boundaries and privacy so there was no issue there. They didn’t initiate conversations about it, but were supportive when I needed someone to talk to. My husband’s mom has more trouble respecting boundaries, but my husband wanted to tell his parents that we were going through IVF. When his mom probed us for info (we knew she would, even though we asked her not to from the beginning), my husband would gently remind her that we would give her updates when we had them. He got frustrated with her a couple of times but in the end, he was still glad he shared the info with her. Every family is different. Do what feels right to you!

I did. Just started my first round and figured I would be open with my immediate family, especially in case they noticed any personality changes. My mom has been great though, super supportive but also said she wouldn’t ask any questions, would just wait for me to tell her when I was ready. I think it has been good to have the extra support. Good or bad my family is super close so I couldn’t imagine keeping this from them

I told them because when we started our journey over a year ago I thought they would need to help us to watch our son while I did my treatments. We didn’t actually need them to watch our son in the end since the pandemic prohibited my husband from coming in so he was able to watch him, but it was still such a huge relief to tell them anyway! My mom was so supportive and I don’t know how I would have survived without her shoulder to cry on. I also think that they’re more excited about this baby knowing how much we went through, and they feel more invested because they’ve been involved since the beginning. IVF/infertility is usually such a private topic so it’s nice to have people to talk to. The IVF groups on this app were also lifesavers for me.

I have not yet. I recently did fresh transfer. I am not confident if I will be telling them ever. Just a matter of our own comfort about how people will recieve it.

I did because they have been helping us some financially with it.  If they weren’t I would still tell them, but not in quite as much detail (e.g. transfer dates)

We didn’t tell them until we reached 12 weeks. I’m very glad we didn’t. I can’t imagine having to constantly rehash how poorly things were going at times let alone if we had failed.

I did. I live pretty far from my clinic and so I ended up staying with them for part of my stims to make it easier on myself to handle the monitoring appointments and keep up with work. I’m also very close with my parents. I told my sisters also. I feel like it’s a very personal choice and your family dynamic probably plays a large role.
