Toddler suddenly refusing nursing and binkies?

My son is 16 months old and, along with sudden sleep issues which I think have to do with his refusal of pacifiers (that's how he's always self-soothed at night), he is suddenly refusing to nurse and take a binky. Nothing has changed in his routine recently and I don't understand. Has anyone experienced this? Is there something wrong or do I just go with it and wean him from both? If there's a problem I want to address it and not just take everything away. But if there's no problem I guess it would be a good time to wean. Any thoughts? I'm also 9 weeks pregnant if that matters.

I'd say growth spurt, teething, your milk tastes different because you're pregnant, or he is just ready to give up the breast & pacifier.

My son once he turned a year refused his binky too which I thought was great because I didn’t want him on the binky much longer. He’s letting you know he doesn’t need it anymore, and as for nursing maybe your son is letting you know he might be done with that as well 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d have him checked for ear infection. Sometimes sucking and swallowing can cause discomfort with infection or fluid behind the ear drum. Sometimes they will pull at ears but sometimes they won’t.

I would call that a win! 
Give your breasts a break before your little one is born. Let his mouth become adjusted to no paci - best to do it now before your other one is born. Else it’ll become a competition and such when the new baby is born. You won’t have to deal with that regression

A pregnancy can change the milk and b it might just be him saying he's done keep eye on if he has other issues but I would say drop them both especially the binki since he's not wanting it's on less thing to fight and this age with teeth coming it's best to stop binki since it can cause teeth issues

Both my kids did this when I became pregnant, taste changed I guess, also my supply dropped a lot and they didn’t love that, they both self weaned by 4 or 5 months into the pregnancy

He might be put off nursing because you are pregnant. Might be a good time to ditch the pacifier if he is initiating. I lost my supply when I was pregnant and had to wean my very reluctant daughter. If he is wanting to stop and you are good with it I’d follow his lead
