Help! Lip tie? Or demanding bottle ?
I took my daughter to her pediatrician, he said this was not a lip tie, in fact normal. My daughter has had difficulty with breastfeeding, she used to last 20min on the breast, if we are lucky she last 7mins now. She cries on the breast, I give her a pacifier and for a few seconds she’s fine and the next she’s crying looking for the breast. Is a daily routine for her feeding time. I recently started bottled feeding (pumped milk), that seems to work better for her, she doesn’t cry while been fed.
I breastfeed her first and if she’s still hungry I give her the bottle. She makes clicking sounds, both on breast and bottle, she also tends to fall asleep on the breast. She doesn’t hurt me when breastfeeding or after. Her pediatrician said she’s just demanding the bottle. But this problem started before the bottle. She has no problem with her weight, and has plenty wet diapers. So my question is, should I get a second opinion? Or in fact she is demanding a bottle?
