Mom guilt over breast feeding
I know the importance and benefits of breastfeeding. Having taken child development classes and infant/child nutrition courses in college as well as my own researchI have learned about it all.
Even knowing all of that—a majority of the time I hate it. And I hate even more that I hate it. I don’t enjoy being the only one to be able to feed. My first was happy with/soothed by a pacifier, but my second only wants my boobs and it’s exhausting.
I had supply issues with my first so we were prepared to supplement with this one, but then I feel guilty about supplementing because I worry that I’m not trying hard enough to nurse.
I feel selfish when I have thoughts about stopping breast feeding and even worse when I say it out loud.
