Oh yeah!!! Although the they cannot discriminated, they will never tell you " we can't hire you" bc you're pregnant. They will say, "we had a better candidate"

They don't want to train someone, spend thousands of dollars and there's no guarantee that they will be back after maternity, or they simply can't afford someone to be on maternity leave as soon as hired.

My site supervisor hates kids. 100% hates them. She's been overheard (not by me though) saying "If any of the girls get pregnant, I'm either moving them to a different location or relieving them of duty. I don't want to see them." Illegal? Most likely. Our company, while having great insurance and company discounts on trips/expensive stuff, doesn't offer paid maternity leave; we get 12 weeks unpaid. My bf and I plan to get married and try for a child within the next year or so. I want to see her try.
