Surrobabe is here ❤️ End of a chapter

Can’t believe my first surrogacy journey is over. I delivered a healthy baby boy at 12:35AM on March 30th.

I got to the hospital at 9PM with contractions 3 minutes apart and I was 4 cm. The intended parents arrived at the hospital and we were having a good time, chatting and laughing in between contractions until all of a sudden contractions got painful. I requested the epidural and after getting it my OB checked me and saw I was 7cm so she broke my water. When my water broke they found out baby had pooped in the womb but they weren’t too concerned. 5 minutes after breaking my water, I felt so much pressure! Doctor checked and I was at a 10 and baby was ready to come out! Baby boy was delivered after 3 pushes and went straight to his momma! It was such an incredible moment watching the intended parents see and hold their baby for the first time.

Now I’m at home, resting, pumping, and working through all the fresh hormonal emotions that come with ending a surrogacy journey that I’ve been on for over 18 months. All the shots, medications, morning sickness, aches, pains, and labor were more than worth it to help complete a family. I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat ❤️
