biggest pet peeve

I hate when people ask my opinion for a decision that involves me but then doesn’t listen to what I have to say and do what they wanted in the first place. & they do this to me every FREAKING TIME. It could be as something small as “Where do you want to eat” and the person rejects every decision I make and decides to do what they want.

Basically my roommate wants to pick out some stuff and also we need to figure out how we want to position furniture. She would ask me how I would like it to be or where things should go in the kitchen. After we finalize she goes back in and changes to what she wants. She even disagreed where I want my snacks to go?? Some spots I let her decide because I genuinely don’t care which cabinet holds the pots. I live here too. We don’t know each other too well but enough to live together. I swear on anything that I’m a clean responsible person. So it’s not like I’m a careless person that’s not engaged in the moving process. She acts like the boss that runs this place already.

It’s one thing if someone asks your opinion when a decision only affects them so of course, they’re allowed to make the decision. It’s THEIRS. Not mine.

I know I need to sit her down and talk to her. That’s for sure on my to do list.
