How to take care of a vomiting toddler? Please help

Hi y'all, my husband was throwing up 2 nights ago. He only threw up for about 6-7 hours and then felt under the weather for the rest of the day, he's now completely fine other than sore abs so we thought it was food poisoning. Well...our 17 month old just threw up twice, an hour apart. I'm thinking we're in for a long night. He has never not slept in his bed but he's also never thrown up. I have no idea what to do.... I would rather not have him waking up every couple hours throwing up all over and having to clean it all up. I only own 3 crib sheets and only one is waterproof 😥 Do I sit up all night with him in front of the TV and hope he gets some sleep? Do I put him to bed and see what happens? Do I keep him up for a few hours and then move him into his bed if he's feeling a little better? And how do I keep him from getting dehydrated? First time mama here, I would love any and all advice you guys can give. ❤️
