Best friend needs someone to take her kid but husband says no

My best friend has a boyfriend who was beating the shit out of her and their 21 month old. I've tried everything to get her to leave, but she won't. Cps has been trying to take her daughter for a while but she refused to open her door. Finally they got a warrant and she had to open the door. They did give her a chance and tell her to go to a women shelter with her daughter but she refused so they are gonna put her girl in foster care. She called me to ask if I could take her child and I said I would talk to my husband. My husband is saying no because we need to focus on our daughter and her mental health. She's 14 and we recently found out she was murdering animals. Plz don't think my daughter is awful. She needs mental health and we put her in therapy. She's opened about having past feelings of homicide. We are hoping therapy and some kind of medication will help her. I just feel awful because my best friend has no one. Her mom cut her off because she stole money from her mom for meth, and I'm her only friend. And I feel so bad for that baby... My husband isn't budging on this though.
