False positive opk?

So I have pcos and I know opks can be unreliable. But I get regular periods now so thought I'd give them another go. I had negative tests (before I'd get positives all the time) except for one day, and then negative tests after that day again, so I thought I had ovulated. Plus I had cramps at the same time and my skin broke out a little.

But, I didn't get my period until 17 days later, so I couldn't have ovulated right? This means it was probably a false positive? I had negative pregnancy tests.

I want to bbt again but my 3 year old keeps waking me up through the night so it wouldn't be reliable or practical. Just going to have to hope for the best I think.
