Sunny side up 8+ lbs at 37w6d elective C?

Question

I’m overweight roughly 290lbs...I’ve already been terrified of a vaginal delivery due to tiring out and the risk of my child getting stuck.. I’m 7 days away from induction and baby is sunny side up looking to be 9lbs if he continues growing like he has since 34w growth scan...anyways.. 
I feel as though maybe I should have an elective c section...because of his size and position...I’m just not sure...
Does anyone have stories of slightly larger sunny side up babies? I’d love to hear them

I think it depends if your baby is persistent breech (breech for a long time) or not.. I’ve got a csection booked in because my baby has been breech for 6-7 weeks now and I’m coming up to 38 weeks. She’s also averaging around the 90th percentile and I have extra fluid so the doctor said that it’s less likely for the baby to engage if there’s extra fluid for them to move around again. My midwife said that persistent breech babies are usually breech for a reason but if your baby has just turned now then there’s a good chance they’ll turn head down for you in time!

Measurements from ultrasounds usually are off. Baby will get into position! My baby was sunny side up until a couple weeks prior!

My first daughter was almost 8lbs and sunny side up. They had made the hospital bed into a chair and I had to rock my hips back and fourth with every contraction to get baby to turn head down. It worked! :)

My nurses had me get in various positions to help turn the baby while I was in labor. She was 8lb9oz born vaginally with no issues. She turned in the last hour or so before being born, a c section was never discussed.

My first wasn’t big (6lb8oz) but was sunny side up when labour started. The nurse and OB said it’s pretty common for them to “corkscrew” as they come down the birth canal. They had me wait as long as I could without the urge to push and sure enough she had turned over by the time I was ready. Our bodies really are amazing!
