Low lying placenta
Hello all!!
At our 12 week ultrasound I was advised I had a low lying placenta that is completely covering the cervix. I understand in most cases it will likely resolve as the uterus expands, but just wanting to hear anyone’s stories if you have experienced the same?
This was already classified as a high risk pregnancy - our first two babies were IUGR (growth restricted) as I had hypertension and the pregnancies ended in pre-eclampsia and early induction. From what I’ve read fetal growth problems are common with a low lying placenta and I’m so paranoid things will be even worse this pregnancy. Any reassurance and positive stories from people who have experienced this would be gratefully received!!
