Checking cervix
Might be a dumb question but does the doctor checking your cervix speed up the process of labor? I’m currently 39+2 (2-3 cm dilated as of last Tuesday) and have an appointment in 2 days. Not only do I want a May baby but this might be my last pregnancy so I want to enjoy it for as long as possible. Should I move my appointment to Friday (I’d be 39+6) or can I decline the doctor checking on Wednesday? Any advice or input is appreciated!
