Do you take shower after swimming? (Pool, lake, beach)

I’m having a debate with someone if you need to shower and wash yourself with soap and everything after swimming....
And I can’t believe this is even a discussion..I feel so dirty after swimming!!

Yes even it’s just playing in the backyard with our little kiddy pool. You smell like outside after being out and I don’t want that inside on my couches and bed.
