Thyroid Issues

How did you know you had a thyroid issue? I have extremely irregular periods. A few years ago I had my period for three months straight. I went to the doctor and she told me I probably wasn’t ovulating and put me on the pill. I got off the pill about six months ago. My periods are all over the place still (I know it can be because of the birth control too).

I’ve been doing research as to why I might not ovulate and I think I might have a thyroid issue as I have a lot of the symptoms. I see a gyno on Thursday. Any advice? I’m worried about my fertility.
