Is putting a child on a diet abuse?

I stumbled across a YouTube video of this lady explaining the death of a 13 year old girl (who weighed 680lbs).

Her mother found her unresponsive surrounded by pizza boxes and fast food containers. It was later discovered that the child had died of congestive heart failure.

In the video she brings up a woman named Sonna lee (I believe, couldn’t make out the name) who’s a part of the “fat acceptance” movement, who claims that putting a child on a diet it just as bad as sexual abuse.

Coming from a person who’s had childhood obesity and was raped at the age of 13 I can 100% disagree with miss Lee’s statement.

The health and well being of that little girl should’ve been prioritized and it wasn’t.
