Don't date your friend's ex?

I really really like this guy but the thing is, he is sort of my best friend's ex! I was friends with him waaaay before she ever knew he exisited and they were never official because he didn't like her as much as she liked him... So am i breaking the 'don't date your friends ex' policy if we take it too the next stage... ??

I was all about those rules for a while. Then I was dumped by my now ex and I chose to date his roommate and best friend (breaking all of my former rules!) We're married now lol.

Tbh ..dating ur friend's ex my not be a bad thing..u will never know if he's ur soul mate! You'll never know until u try it out! I happened to marry my best friends ex ..which is crazy because I never knew we would be together for five yrs now! Give it a shot!

Its funny me and my best friend has both had sex with each other ex's. Both without permission. We got over it because it wasnt a big deal. If your worried, dont do it. But, There is a reason they are our ex's, they sucked!

I don't think its a bad thing. Two of my friends(we were never close) have been with my boyfriend. I hated him at first but then I had to talk to him to get something done and he was so sweet to me.

So I think you should go ahead and be with him. Its her lost. 😊😊

It's not wrong. What would be wrong would be her holding you back from happiness. She may react wrong and leave though so you need to evaluate before hand if you're easy for her to get upset and potentially hate you. I think it's a maturity thing.

Why should her dating your friend mean he's off limits?  If you only met him because of her, then I could see talking with her first, but if you were friends with the guy before she ever met him, then that's non of her business what you two do with that relationship.
