Moms who've had an infant and toddler, where did you best like their carseats?

DS - driver side, PS - passenger side. Due with baby #2 in roughly 6.5 weeks and id like to install babys carseat base within the next month. This has me thinking about which side I want the kids on, if it makes a difference for access to the kids or not etc. Currently my toddlers carseat is on the DS and he will be rear facing until he max's the height or weight limit so he has about another year rear facing. Has anyone had any preference to where their kids sat and why one way felt easier than the other if you did solo trips with the kids around town. If model of vehicle makes a difference for everyones personal decisions, I drive a nissan 2020 pathfinder so theres plenty of room for the carseats to be anywhere we want thankfully as I know in my old car my husband could JUST drive with my son on the DS.
