Obgyn visits

I know this is probably a dumb question, but when you go to the baby appointments and they make you pee in a cup.. do they check everytime to see if you have sugar in the urine? & if so do they tell you? & does sugar in the urine mean Gestational diabetes? My blood sugar is always in normal range as my fasting is always 80 and below.. i feel like i have been misdiagnosed?
